Dear Authors and Readers!
We would like to inform you about a strategic decision to change the name of our journal. Following the resolution of the Academic Council of Kharkiv National Medical University (Protocol No. 7 dated July 16, 2026), Inter Collegas is changing its title to the Ukrainian Journal of Translational Medicine (UJTM).
The official renaming procedure has already been initiated, and the journal is currently in a transition period. UJTM will officially publish under its new title starting with Volume 13, Issue 3 (2026). Please note that all manuscripts submitted after July 16, 2026, will be reviewed and considered for publication under the updated journal name.
In addition to the name change, the thematic scope of the journal is being fundamentally redefined. The journal's renewed objective will be to provide an international platform for cutting-edge research that bridges the gap between basic biomedical science and clinical practice. We will publish studies that facilitate the direct translation of research findings – generated through basic biomedical science methodologies – into clinical practice (the "bench-to-bedside" concept). We welcome interdisciplinary approaches integrating laboratory, biochemical, molecular-genetic, morphological, functional, and imaging methodologies.
Please note the following critical updates for all new submissions:
A prerequisite for peer review is the inclusion of a distinct "Translational Significance" subsection in the manuscript. Authors must clearly articulate how their findings can be integrated to enhance diagnostic, preventive, or therapeutic modalities in real-world practice.
UJTM no longer considers basic research lacking clinical significance, clinical studies without objective biomarker/instrumental parameters, or standard case reports that do not elucidate fundamentally novel pathogenetic mechanisms or innovative therapeutic approaches.
We invite you to submit your high-quality research to the updated UJTM and join us in advancing global translational medicine!
